      Shells' Reef Tank

As most of you know, I am about to move so I thought I would do a tank build/upgrade/move thread

We (my husband and I) started with reef tanks back in 1996. We had a 40 gallon and it lasted for a few years until children. When my youngest was about to turn 6, and I had some spare time on my hands, I wanted to get back into reef tanks.

      I re-started with a 24 g AP

Quickly realized it was too small and upgraded to a 90.

Since we were going to put in new flooring - It was the perfect time to upgrade, once again, and pushed it to a 180g.

After being set up for about 5 months

      Now the move .......

In preperation for the move, I bought the exact same dimension tank to set up in the new house and then move the corals to it. This way my light canopy will fit and I can then slowly move the corals and then take my time re-setting up my tank.

Here is the temp tank rolled into the new house

great pics cant wait to see how you put everything back together...this is one of my favorite tanks that i've seen stuffed with so many different corals and yet it looked very open for many fish to move around in..

are you going to keep both tanks or re-sell one after your all done

Thanks. I may keep both tanks and set the 2nd one up as a fish only tank, but time will tell.

Moving the rock work is going to be a challange

Minh, Here is yours right here. Fragged and almost ready to go for you.

I am a little worried about mortality rate, but I am going to go slow and hope I don't have any

This will be the new location of my tank. Still need to do some work in this room..

I will be looking for helpers to move my tank in the next couple weekends. Pizza and beer provided! Exact date to be determined. Move from Rancho Pensaquitos to 8 miles North - Felicita Park area
